I was listening to Brendon's show-&-tell about 12 products anyone could create ...

I liked his video & made notes on how to create and market 12 pretty dam' lucrative products and programs ... the fella made $4.6 million in his first 24 months following these strategies.

Just listened to Brendon Burchard's Total Product Blueprint & made some notes for self, and then thought, WHY NOT SHARE IT!!??

You can actually view Brandon's 'Create Anything Framework' (CAF) here (I think you may have to sign up, but that's all) ... http://goo.gl/Lx7sn

So, here are the 9 steps as talked about in the Create Anything Framework (CAF). In another post, I'll put up my notes on the 7 Marketing Methods

The 9 steps are ...

(1.) I help "X" do, create or understand "Y" so that "Z" (benefit)
X: Audience
Y: Topic or Message
Z: Benefit

E.g.:
"Hi, I'm Anand Murthy, founder of Idea of Increase, author of The Self-Storage Turnaround Manual, and Unconventional Traffic Secrets
I help experts with high-quality offerings to expand their reach so that these experts are able to reach a larger audience & make a bigger difference in the world with their product and service offerings.
I also help couples facing distress in their marriages with my simple and easy-to-enjoy programme which helps them to achieve a deeper relationship with each other thru' daily doses of bonding so that they are able to lead happier, healthier, fuller lives together."
I help my real-estate investors make their money work harder for them so that they achieve greater time and money freedom.
I create better places for tenants to live, work and store; and I help renters become homeowners with my simple, easy rent-to-own programme so that they can begin to build wealth via equity in real-estate.
Brendon's example:
"Hi, I'm Brendon Burchard, founder of Experts Academy & author of The Millionaire Messenger.
I help authors, speakers, coaches, seminar leaders and online information marketers to package, productize, position & promote themselves so that they can get their message out there in a bigger way, make more of an impact & make more of an income"
( I think I like Brendon's short & sweet statement ... gotta work on 'tightening' my statement) :)

(2.) Have you ever had these Challenges?
E.g.
"Have you ever had a challenge where you knew you had a message that you wanted to get out there into the world, and you didn't know how. Worse yet, you went out there & learnt from some online guru & you just didn't get it ... you just didn't have a paint-by-numbers system that was needed to create your products & programmes?"
(3.) "Me too" - Here's my story of struggle
(... to create empathy & a connection)
(4.) My story of finding a solution
E.g. "I started interviewing other experts, and I found that ..."
(to start building a foundation of reasons why the audience should continue listening to you
(5.) Results
E.g. ... "I went thru' what you've been through or are going thru'; and by applying my solution, these are some of my results" ... (in essence, "Expert story positioning")... and there are 3 kinds of Experts:
- Reporter expert
- Results expert
- Role-model
(6.) Old World/ New World/ Myths & Trends
E.g. "This is what used to be true ... / In the new world, this won't fly for the following reasons ... & instead, this (new thing) is true in today's world & the world of tomorrow"
(7.) The SOLUTION framework (THE BIG REVEAL!)
E.g. "Here's how we get from where we are to where we need to be in ... (5 steps/ 7 phases/ 6 modules etc etc); and having looked at the Outline, let's do a deep dive into each (step/ phase/ module etc)"
(8.) Common Errors & mistake
"I know you're really keen to get started, so I want to leave you with some real world tips & tricks, and things to watch out for; so that you don't have to commit the same mistakes that others have ... "
(9.) The first thing to do
So, if you're listening to this & thinking, "I'm ready to go ... how do I get started?", here are the first three things I'd do if I were you

What I learned from Clinton Swaine's sessions ...

Attended this workshop at one of Bill Bartmann's sessions in Toronto (July '07) where Clinton Swaine had us go thru' some experiential learning exercises.
Am trying to recall the lessons some 8 months down the road ... please fill in the blanks if you can ...
  1. Evaluate the risk before-hand (a close shave when pushing thru' the amber light)
  2. See the $ in ideas (looking up at a street lamp to see the $ sign)
  3. Copying is better than innovation (the photocopier sequence)
  4. ... something about "thinking big" (... a sequence where you were backed into an elevator by the huge number of copies that came out)
  5. Aim high (jumping up to hit a button for floor # 'infinity' on the elevator)
  6. Hold on to your equity
  7. Hard work (hand-cranking the elevator upto the umpteenth floor)
  8. Enjoy the fruits of your efforts (a picture of every imaginable luxury)
  9. ... (tripping over a cord?)
  10. Always have an exit strategy in mind (bursting thru' the back door)
  11. ...frugality? (using a 25c coin to call the chopper)
  12. ???

Thank you!

Partnerships, Networking etc.

For a while now, I've been in discussions about partnering with like-minded souls to create a specialty consulting outfit. Our focus will be the creation of strategic enterprise management roadmaps for organizations, and the implementation of the same.

I'm always looking for people to connect with, assuming that there are very many people with the requisite knowledge, the differentiator will be the network(s) that we bring.

When I look back at my last few postings, they have a lot to do with this acpect, particularly the 'geese' posting. And then there was the time I was boning up on estimation. And then MindMaps. And then, ...etc etc

Honk if you've heard this!

Lessons We Can Learn From Geese – Author Unknown

Excerpted from Inspiring Notes

Fact 1. As each goose flaps its wings it creates an "uplift" for the birds that follow. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone

Lesson People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another

Fact 2. When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

Lesson If we have as much sense as a goose we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.

Fact 3. When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.

Lesson It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each other's skills, capabilities and unique arrangements of gifts, talents or resources.

Fact 4. The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

Lesson We need to make sure honking is encouraging. In groups where there is encouragement the production is much greater. The power of encouragement (to stand by one's heart
or core values and encourage the heart and core of others) is the quality of honking we seek.

Fact 5. When a goose gets sick, wounded, or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

Lesson If we have as much sense as geese, we will stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.

MindMaps & other such ...

Obviously, one prog. that's right up there in the list of all-time favourites (please note, English spelling ... not what the bloody Yanks chs to abrv8 to) is Connections (1, 2, 3 and any & all that Mr. Burke can put out) ... and then there's the Living Planet (with Mr. David 'Windswept-Hair-while-I-stand-on-rocky-beaches-watching-seagulls-cawcaw-and-poop' Attenborough); and now, the Life of Birds by the aforesaid gent.

Came across the following while I was trying to read up something about this Oh-so-exciting topic of Effort-estimation & one thing led to another & I wanted to put together a MindMap of things I found interesting (a sort of a bloggified Stumble-Upon, if you will), and well, here it is

MindMaps

Right now, I'm in the process of installing Free Mind ...

Strategic Management at the City, according to Dave (who I'm sure has plagiarized it from somewhere ... I remember having read this previously, but can't quite recall where ... Anyhow, this one's a keeper)

Strategic Management at the City
In the Beginning was the Plan
And then came the Assumptions
And the Assumptions were without form
And the Plan was completely without substance
And the darkness was upon the face of the workers
And they spoke among themselves, saying"It is a crock of shit and it stinketh."
And the workers went unto their Supervisors and sayeth,"It is a pail of dung and none may abide the odour thereof",
And the Supervisors went unto their Managers and sayeth unto them,"It is a container of excrement and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it."
And the Managers went unto their Directors and sayeth,"It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength."
And the Directors spoke amongst themselves, saying one to another,"It contains that which aids plant growth, and it is very strong."
And the Directors went unto the General Managers and sayeth unto them,"It promotes growth and is very powerful."
And the GM's went unto the City managers and sayeth unto him,"This new plan will actively promote the growth and efficiency of this Organization, and in these areas in particular."
And the City Manager looked upon The Plan,
And saw that it was good,
And the Plan became Policy.
This is How Shit Happens.

Amen
